Part of the 28th edition of the Valsusa Filmfest, (click here to consult the announcement), organized by the Association of the same name. It's a Community film and cultural festival founded in the 1997 on the themes of recovering historical memory and protecting the environment, which will be held between March and April 2024 in various municipalities of the Susa Valley (Turin).
There are five sections:
- Short films – with a free theme and reserved for fiction films and videos lasting a maximum of 10 minutes, without precluding styles, genres and production techniques.
- Telling Telling (The story is us) – is aimed at audiovisual works of maximum 10 minutes without preclusion of styles and genres, shorts, reels, storytelling, which tell and give voice to underground stories destined to remain in daily indifference on various themes, such as work, politics, society, love, youth hardship and discrimination.
- Making Memory - proposed in collaboration with the ANPI, is reserved for works that intend to "remember" a testimony from the past inspired by the theme or values of the Resistance, or by a current event that interprets those values.
- The Alps – reserved for films on the theme of the mountains: exploration, mountaineering and other vertical sports, protection of the environment and animal species, culture and traditions, life and habits of small and large communities.
Films must be sent in Mp4 format with a maximum size of 1,7 GB. Participation is free. Industrial, advertising, propaganda films or films produced by national networks are not accepted. The festival has always proposed itself as a meeting and exchange place for independent productions. Cash prizes are available.
