The autumn round of applications is now open DiscoverEu. This is the European Union initiative that allows young people aged 18 years to explore Europe far and wide, taking advantage of the possibility of freely circulating in the EU to learn about and appreciate the different cultures and realities existing in the Old Continent.
To be admitted to the selection you must:

  • be born between 1 January 2006 (inclusive) and 31 December 2006 (inclusive);
  • correctly enter the number of your identity card, passport or residence permit in the online application form;
  • have citizenship or residence* in one of the following countries: one of the Member States of the European Union, including the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), or one of the third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

The selected candidates will be able to travel for a period of at least 1 day and a maximum of 30 days between 1 March 2025 and 31 May 2026. The winners will mainly travel by train, but in exceptional cases, for example for those who live on islands or far from the border of their country, it is possible to supplement the trips with ships, planes and buses. You can travel alone or in a group with up to 4 friends, provided they meet the eligibility conditions. To travel together, you must use the same application code. The selected participants automatically become ambassadors DiscoverEU and it will be possible to share your travel experiences on social media using the hashtag #DiscoverEU
