The Ministry of Culture (MiC), through the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity (DGCC), together with the Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este – VILLÆ Institute and the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires, in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero and its Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, announces the first edition of the “Naturans/Naturata Award aimed at Italian and Argentinian artists which aims to promote the exchange between cultures, through the mobility of artists between Italy and the rest of the world.
The main objective of the award is promote artistic reflection and sensitivity towards nature, encouraging a deeper connection between art and the environment.
The winning Italian artist will have the opportunity to stay in Buenos Aires for two months (May to July 2024) receiving a residency grant worth 5.000 euros gross to cover the costs of food, accommodation and local transport.
To apply you must be of age, have a CV and a portfolio that demonstrate being active in the field of visual art (with particular attention to environmental and natural themes), and have a good knowledge of the English language; knowledge of Spanish will be a preferential qualification for equal merit.
The application for participation must be sent no later than 12.00 pm on 29 February 2024.
