Applications are open for the WBG Pioneers, the main World Bank Group Internship ProgramTraining/work placements are available for students and recent graduates for up to six months, with monthly compensation and travel expenses covered. Washington, DC, will be the primary location for internships. Internships offer first-hand experience of the World Bank's scope and activities, enhancing skills in a dynamic international environment and fostering professional and personal growth. The program is open to candidates interested in operational and support roles in a broad range of fields, including economics, investment, investment portfolio management, human development (public health, education, nutrition, and population), social sciences (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resources management, private sector development, and corporate support (accounting, communications, human resources, information technology, and finance).
To take advantage of the training program, candidates must be final-year university students. For the postgraduate program, candidates must be pursuing a master's degree or a PhD. For both programs, professional experience is an asset. Strong IT and other technical skills will also be an asset.
