Gender Equality it is an initiative that falls within the program CERV Citizens, equality, rights and values of the European Union – and will have a budget of approximately €23 million. The goal is to promote and implement policies aimed at achieving the full enjoyment of women's rights and gender equality. Specifically, projects will address the following priorities:
- support work-life balance, the equitable sharing of care responsibilities, family-friendly policies among employers, and the value of care jobs.
- Promote and support the implementation of the provisions of the Pay Transparency Directive and the respect of equal pay for equal work and work of equal value.
- Support the equal participation and representation of women and men in economic and political decision-making.
- Combating gender stereotypes in media and advertising.
Legal entities (private or public) from a Member State (including OCTs – 'overseas countries and territories') or third countries associated with the Programme may join. CERVFor-profit organizations may only participate in partnership with public entities or private nonprofit organizations.
