Projects to increase psychological and mental well-being or overcome moments of debacle, post-pandemic for example. The Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai selects proposals that last between 12 and 24 months with the aim of addressing the challenges related to mental health in contemporary reality. Amounts between 50 thousand and 150 thousand euros are available for each initiative.
The procedure indicated by IBISG involves uploading a brief description of your idea on the 8×1000 Management Platform (Click here to log in), starting from the national socioeconomic context. Italy is faced with data that presents the lowest percentage in Europe of people who feel a state of full mental well-being: those most at risk are women and young people. Several factors contribute to this scenario, including perceived gender inequality, uncertainty about the future, loneliness and the negative impact of digital media on young people's mental health. The pandemic has further exacerbated these problems.
Projects can be formulated by non-profit organizations with legal forms such as: association; unrecognized association; committee; foundation; non-governmental organization; social cooperative society; limited liability social cooperative company.
And they will have to guarantee the achievement, among others, of at least 3 of the following specific objectives:
- help identify and address specific mental health issues, such as eating disorders, anxiety, burnout and technology addiction;
- promote prevention and early intervention strategies to combat mental health challenges;
- adopt non-medicalizing support tools/methodologies.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 26 September 2024. Click here to find out all the details
