La Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation andItalian Cultural Institute in Stockholm they launch on July 20, 2023 the first edition of the Stockholm Prize, a program dedicated to the themes of sustainability and eco-innovation in the fashion design sector.
The call for tenders has been published 2 six-month scholarships in Sweden da January to June 2024, for an educational and professional experience in avant-garde organizations, institutions and companies located throughout Sweden. The winners will be given the opportunity to explore the themes of sustainable fashion design, from the reuse and recycling of materials to intelligent fabrics, from circular economy models to applied technologies, with the aim of training two young fashion designers who will benefit from following benefits:
- un monthly allowance of Euro 2.500 for living expenses and for participation in activities at organizations, institutions and/or companies specialized in eco-sustainable fashion issues;
- accommodation for the entire duration of the stay;
- a return flight ticket to Stockholm from Italy;
- insurance coverage for health expenses, injuries, accidents.
Candidates for the "STOCKHOLM AWARD" must meet the following specific requirements:
- have a three-year or master's degree or single-cycle degree or recognized equivalent qualification, or a first or second-level or single-cycle academic diploma or recognized equivalent qualification, in subjects relating to fashion design; or a post-graduate degree (Second Level Master, Doctorate or equivalent) related to fashion design;
- carry out proven research activities and/or have active collaborations and projects in the specific sector of fashion design in the broadest sense of the term;
- have a good knowledge of the English language.
