A competition that says it all in three words: #IOCITENGO 2026. It is the 11th edition of the celebratory event organized by Earth Day Italy for Earth Day, scheduled for April 22nd. The initiative was designed with the aim of involving girls and young people – anyone can participate Italian nursery, primary, 1st grade and 2nd grade secondary schools – in the creation of projects, artistic works and reports that demonstrate awareness and active participation in the solution of the global challenges indicated in the United Nations 2030 Agenda. With the conception and implementation of the Earth Day Italia projects, it will appoint boys and girls 'ambassadors of the earth'.
At the heart of the event is the commitment of schools and young people to environmental sustainability, an opportunity to refocus every educational effort on the feeling of being part of a broader action plan for people, the planet, and a sustainable future for all.
To participate, you must create and submit projects that address one or more of the following categories: people, prosperity, planet, peace, partnership. Videos can be developed using any technique or medium; drawings, paintings, and/or collages of both are permitted. Civic Education stories and reportages (for example, cleaning up the school grounds, organizing personal or community waste sorting, aid and collaboration initiatives) are eligible, including interviews, short films, or theater workshops; songs, fairy tales, fictional or real-life stories; and testimonials and news reports. They can be developed using smartphones by groups of students from the same or different classes, coordinated by teachers.
Earth Day will also feature the Sustainability Education Festival, organized annually by Earth Day Italy within the Earth Village. It will feature events focusing on nature, biodiversity, and outdoor sports, as well as educational workshops, school projects, music, and art.
The deadline for submitting projects is March 1, 2026. Learn More consult from here the regulation.
