The European Commission has presented a new action plan dedicated to the relationship between cybersecurity e advanced artificial intelligence.
The goal is to address in a coordinated manner the risks associated with the misuse of AI models, which can be exploited to identify vulnerabilities, automate cyberattacks, and increase the speed and impact of digital incidents.
At the same time, the plan aims to improve the potential of artificial intelligence as a useful tool for strengthen system protection, improve prevention capabilities, and make the response to cyber threats more effective.
The initiative builds on the existing European regulatory framework for AI and cybersecurity and involves Member States, industry, and European organizations.
With this intervention, the European Union intends to rStrengthening the security of digital space, promoting a safer, more responsible use of AI that is geared towards protecting citizens, businesses, and institutions.
