The call is online LET'S CULTIVATE SOCIAL AGRICULTURE 2025, promoted by Confagricoltura, Senior L'Età della Saggezza Onlus, and the Reale Foundation, in collaboration with the Rete Fattorie Sociali (Social Farms Network). The goal is to promote initiatives by agricultural businesses and social cooperatives aimed at implementing projects inspired by themes such as solidarity between generations, social and health care assistance for disadvantaged groups, the protection of civil rights, and the social inclusion of those living in rural areas.

Agricultural entrepreneurs can participateə, social cooperatives, and forms of association between them and other third sector actors. Projects must:

  • fund projects capable of addressing community needs, integrating them with coordinated, innovative, and sustainable experiences aimed at optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of interventions;
  •  encourage innovation in community welfare models, experimenting with forms of production of services/products with high social impact;
  •  Promote integration between the various actors in Social Agriculture (agricultural businesses, cooperatives, social and non-social enterprises, associations, institutions) and the implementation of repeatable good practices.

For the 2025 SPECIAL SECTION, the above-mentioned objectives will be complemented by the training of professionals to manage and redevelop public green spaces, involving vulnerable groups. Proposals must specifically address the following categories of beneficiaries: minors and young people experiencing social hardship; women; the elderly; disabled people; immigrants with refugee status or asylum seekers.

In the ordinary section three will be awarded 40.000 euro prizes each for three innovative Social Agriculture projects. In addition to the cash prizes, each winner—or a person designated by the company—will receive a scholarship to attend the 2026 Master's in Social Agriculture at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
In the special section, a €20.000 prize will be awarded for a project involving the management and redevelopment of public green spaces. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 27, 2025. To read the announcement click here
