A journalistic award to remember the figure of Alessandra Bisceglia, who passed away at just 28 years old, and her passion: it's called 'Alessandra Bisceglia for Social Communication'. The competition, in its eighth edition, aims to enhance the commitment of young people for the diffusion and development of a culture of solidarity and integration of disabled people, to support social communication and information on rare diseases, with particular attention to equity in access to care.

The initiative is promoted by the Foundation 'Alessandra Bisceglia Viva Ale ETS' and by the Free University Maria SS. Assunta – LUMSA of Rome. The Journalism Award is open to journalists and students under the age of 35, with two sections:

  • for professional journalists, practitioners, collaborators, freelancers;
  • for students of Masters and Journalism Schools recognized by the Journalists' Association, with the inclusion of alternative forms of journalism in the competition, such as photography or graphic novels.

The prizes for the best classified works range from 1.000 to 1.500 euros. You can register until Tuesday 30 April 2024. Click here to consult the announcement.
