The announcement is online National competition MATTEOTTI FOR SCHOOLS, this year in its tenth edition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Merit – Directorate General for Students, Inclusion and School Orientation – by the Giacomo Matteotti ETS Foundation and the Filippo Turati Onlus Foundation for Historical Studies. The subject of this year's Competition is the memory, story or representation of phenomena or facts related to the life and work of Giacomo Matteotti and his lesson in freedom. Participants in the competition may develop the following topic: 'Legality, solidarity and respect for the person in the testimony of Giacomo Matteotti'.
The competition aims to involve students of lower and upper secondary schools in a comprehensive process of knowledge and study of issues related to democracy and its institutions to share an experience of civil education and active participation. The following sections are planned:

• text category: texts for print or web for a maximum of 5.000 (five thousand) keystrokes.
• Graphics category: digital graphics works, photographs (black and white or colour) accompanied by a caption (twenty characters including a two/three word title) describing the work.
• Multimedia products category: radio or television services or web journalism, or videos or multimedia audiovisual works with a maximum duration of 3 (three) minutes. The works must be sent in digital format.
