The national competition is online “Knowing, learning and building the free and united Europe designed by the Ventotene Manifesto. School experiences and proposals", now in its fourth edition, promoted by the Ministry of Education and Merit and the VentotenEuropa business network.
The initiative is aimed at students of first and second cycle, state and private, educational institutions, including Italian schools abroad and CPIA (provincial centers for adult education), for the creation of themed works (texts, hypertexts, graphic illustrations and audio-video).
The themes planned for this edition are:
- how the young generations imagine the future, know and learn the common European identity and build possible paths of friendship, freedom and peace;
- what the younger generations mean by environmental, economic and social sustainability and through which tools they intend to build it;
- how the young generations experience and interpret the interaction and confrontation between peoples and their institutions.
Three works will be proclaimed winners for each school level and the 1st place in each category will be offered a stay on the island of Ventotene.
