A training course, designed by theItalian Youth Agency, to improve the quality of the projects European Solidarity Corps. The training activity – a Rome, from 4th to 6th March 2025 – falls within the scope of the Training and Evaluation Cycle (TEC) and is aimed at mentors who have four years of experience under their belt (no more) in organizations accredited as volunteer support or hosting bodies.

The National Training Course focuses on the profile and skills of a figure supporting volunteers, considered central to the volunteering projects of the European Solidarity Corps, and aims to become a shared space in which to highlight tasks and responsibilities and provide food for thought useful for strengthening skills, also through an exchange of experiences and practices.

The objectives of the training course are in detail:

  • define the Mentor profile (role, skills, responsibilities, objectives in the projects ESC);
  • understand the various types of mentoring;
  • start a self-assessment of your personal skills (soft-skills), useful for the mentoring process;
  • analyze tools to promote volunteer learning and share useful methodologies in non-formal education;
  • share experiences and good practices.

The course, in Italian, is aimed at 50 mentors with a maximum of four years' experience in this role within volunteer projects.

Participants will be able to experience methodologies based on the principle of active participation of each member of the group and the circularity of the learning process.

The Italian Youth Agency will cover the entire costs of reception and training; travel expenses will be reimbursed to participants following their participation in the activity, at 95% for a maximum of 200 euros. To submit your application, you must fill out the form from this link within the February 17, 2025 (disregard the deadline indicated on the form).
