A total budget of approximately €63 million for seven calls aimed at supporting the development of advanced digital skills and the adoption of innovative technologies in strategic sectors. These are the calls published by the European Commission as part of the programme. DigitalEurope for the EU's digital transition, which are aimed at research institutions, local authorities and public administration, large companies, mid-caps, NGOs, SMEs, startups and universities.

Within the Digital 2026-SKILLS-10 – Advanced Digital Skills call, several other subcategories are foreseen: Advanced Digital Skills for AI Uptake in Health; the aim is to implement the development of training programs in Artificial Intelligence for healthcare through collaboration between higher education, research, and industry. The goal is to leverage AI by healthcare organizations. Digital Skills and Jobs Platform It supports the creation of new National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs (and the strengthening of existing ones); collaborations designed to improve citizens' digital skills and upgrade workforce skills at the local and national levels; consolidate existing national activities and platforms; and reduce the digital divide. EdTech accelerator: for EdTech startups and SMEs – focusing on the development and improvement of innovative digital training solutions, useful for businesses in developing market-ready solutions.
For the call DIGITAL-2026-BESTUSE-10 – Accelerating Best Use of Technologies, the operational areas are: Building capacity to deploy the EEHRxF and digital health services and systems; The aim is to strengthen the implementation capacity of the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) and digital health systems, with the aim of protecting citizens' rights and valorizing health data within the European Health Data Space. Ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage of the Network of Safer Internet Centers (SICs) – to strengthen the network of Safer Internet Centres, which provide information, support, and tools for safe and informed use of the Internet, promoting the protection of minors online through information, education, and support services with full geographical coverage.

- Digital 2026-AI-DATA-10-compliance: The focus is on developing AI-based digital solutions to reduce administrative burdens for businesses.
- Digital 2026-AI-PILOTING-10-screening: Pilot projects for the use of image-based Artificial Intelligence in medical centers, with a focus on early detection of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
