With a budget of 6 million euros, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers selects projects for the establishment or strengthening of centers against discrimination motivated by sexual orientation and gender identity. The public notice can be consulted here, on the website of the National Anti-Racial Discrimination Office.
The objective is to promote the provision and dissemination of services for the protection of LGBT+ people, throughout the national territory, through the financing of initiatives aimed at the establishment and strengthening of anti-discrimination centres, also guaranteeing adequate accommodation and of food.
The initiative is aimed at:
- local authorities, individually or in association;
- associations and organizations operating in the sector of support and aid to victims of discrimination or violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity, individually or in association;
- the same subjects also in an associated form with each other.
The projects must ensure support and help for LGBT+ people in vulnerable situations. It will be necessary to promote paths of autonomy and socio-work inclusion, as well as concrete protection for people who are victims of discrimination or violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity due to the social and family context of reference.
The application for participation, accompanied by the required documentation, must be sent withinSeptember 17, 2024.
