With Erasmus+, you can also take advantage of training opportunities abroad for staff working in the education sector (at all levels), regardless of whether they have a teaching role.

Mobility activities for training may include periods of coaching or observation at other training institutes, training activities and specific skills development courses, skills strengthening and development activities.

Anyone who works in:

  • higher education institutions
  • in the sector of education and vocational training
  • in pre-primary, primary and secondary education
  • in adult learning.

For all of them, activities whose duration varies are possibilities from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of two months. In the case of activities to be carried out in a third country or a partner country of the Erasmus+ Programme, the minimum duration is extended to 5 days, while for some specific activities, the maximum duration can be reduced to one month.

It should be noted that it is not possible for individuals to apply for grants, which must instead always be requested by an educational or training body or institute.

In the case of schools of all levels, participation in mobility activities is also open to "teachers in training" as part of their training activities aimed at acquiring useful skills for future professional commitment.

In all cases, the European Union makes a contribution to travel and living expenses during the period of stay abroad, variable on a host basis and other parameters, such as the availability of other financial sources. Additional contributions are always provided to encourage and support the participation of staff with fewer opportunities or special needs.
