The new tender is online"European platforms for the promotion of emerging artists” promoted within the Creative Europe 2021-2027 programme.
The goal is to finance the creation of 15 platforms that act as a showcase/launching springboard for emerging artists and their works. Such platforms must consist of at least 12 organizations from 12 different countries eligible (a coordinating organization and other member organisations), having a common programming and branding strategy.
The platforms can cover all cultural and creative sectors, material and immaterial, from visual arts, artistic craftsmanship and fashion design, to performing, audio-visual and literary arts.
The specific priorities are:
- promote the culture of co-creative partnerships;
- strengthening the cultural and creative sectors; promote values such as better working conditions and fair remuneration, skills development and lifelong learning, as well as freedom of artistic expression;
- strengthen cultural participation and the role of culture in society, also considering the beneficial aspects of culture for health, in particular mental health;
- help cultural professionals, emerging artists and artists to critically and creatively exploit the opportunities of digital transformation.
The project proposals, of maximum duration of 48 months, they must also provide a cascading grant mechanism to support a minimum number of 50 emerging artists per year, allocating at least 70% of the grant, and developing a strategy to increase the number of member organisations.
The call is open to legal entities established in one of the countries eligible for the program (e.g. EU states, including OCTs, EFTA/EEA countries, candidate and potential candidate countries and other third countries associated with the programme) and expires on 31 January 2024.
