Factory Young Artist Program is the opportunity proposed by Rome Opera House To enable the emergence of new Italian and international talent in the entertainment world. Selected candidates will be introduced to the profession through auditions, rehearsals, and meetings with contemporary artists, working closely with professionals at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The program is open to those aged 18 and under, and up to 33, who have completed relevant training at conservatories and academies. It will last two years (2027-2028), with scholarships of €1.100 per month.
Singers, répétiteurs/répétiteurs, directors, costume designers, set designers, and lighting designers are also sought. A monthly grant of €1.100,00 will be awarded, with a full-time commitment. To apply, singers must present three arias in different styles, preferably by composers from the 18th to 20th centuries. Repétiteurs must perform compulsory pieces and one of their choice from a selection of classics. Performance and sight-reading may be required during the auditions.
The activities will take place primarily at the theater's existing venues (Teatro Costanzi, Teatro Nazionale, Sala Respighi, and, during the summer, the archaeological site of the Baths of Caracalla) and at the related workshops. During the program, participants may be involved in:
- in study sessions with the Management of the Fabbrica Young Artist Program and the teachers who support them in the season of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and other internationally renowned theaters;
- in meetings, masterclasses, auditions with artists and exponents of the international scene;
- in the dissemination activities of the Rome Opera Theatre.
