"Youth sPEACEs. Urban spaces for active social participation and dialogue” is a project carried out within the “European Youth Together” action of the Erasmus+ programme.
It aims to strengthen the youth sector in Europe and to connect the local dimension with the European one, promoting and increasing the role of local youth spaces in the continental scenario, empowering them, stimulating and supporting their networking, proposing a "European charter of youth spaces". To achieve these objectives, we will support the active engagement of a growing number of young people in citizenship activities and experiences in which young people themselves assume a leading role, linking the local and European dimensions and building a path to make their voices heard.
The project is implemented by 9 organizations from 7 EU countries (IT, EL, FR, MK, PL, PT, SE) for a period of 21 months. Some online activities also involve participants from other countries. The direct beneficiaries will be at least 280, of which 80 with fewer opportunities, with a disadvantaged socio-economic background and belonging to underrepresented youth groups.
During the life cycle of the project, in addition to general management and visibility, several activities are implemented: 7 local training courses on EU activities and programmes, 7 youth exchanges, 1 European research, an online debate and a visit to the European institutions. Both the online information and training campaign and the visibility and dissemination activities are aimed at a wider audience in the countries involved, with the aim of reaching at least 40.000 people throughout Europe.
The main public results will be the Final Research Report on Youth Spaces in Europe and the “European Charter of Youth Spaces”. "European Charter for Youth Spaces", which will be further available to stimulate a debate and possible concrete decisions to recognize and enhance the role of these participatory experiences.
The entire project will also be indirectly aimed at promoting young people's participation in voting in the 2024 European elections.
