They are open until March 31, 2025 the registrations to the gEneSys Autumn School: Gender and Intersectional Inequalities in Energy Transition, to be held at the Venice International University (VIU) from 6 to 10 October 2025. The school is promoted within the Horizon gEneSys project 'Transforming Gendered Interrelations of Power and Inequalities in Transition Pathways to Sustainable Energy Systems', which sees the coordination of theInstitute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the CNR (CNR-IRPPS), National Agency for New Technology, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering, Center for Responsible Research and Innovation, Imperial College, Jagiellonian University, Portia, and Venice International University (VIU).
The Autumn School is addressed to students (Master's and PhD), early-stage researchers and post-docs in STEM fields (engineering, environmental studies, etc.) or in social sciences and humanities, economics and political science, who have a strong research interest in energy transition. The course aims to explore the social, economic and political dimensions of the energy transition through a gender and intersectional lens, providing tools and insights to integrate these perspectives into research or professional work and propose a vision of the energy transition as a socio-technical revolution with relevant social and gender challenges.
The training activities are completely free. There are no participation costs and the costs of registration, food and accommodation are entirely covered by the project.
