The European Commission, together with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), has presented a blueprint for AI literacy in primary and secondary education. The initiative was developed with the support of Code AI (click here to visit the website) and thanks to the contribution of international experts.

The framework provides teachers, school leaders, and education policymakers with the ideal tools to develop a shared understanding of the skills students need to use AI responsibly and ethically. It provides ideas, suggestions, and examples of classroom activities in four areas: interacting with AI, creating with AI, managing AI, and shaping AI. It also outlines learning scenarios for implementing learning materials, standards, and system-wide initiatives for education.

The project aims to ensure high-quality, inclusive, and future-oriented digital education. As part of the Union of Skills, the Education Package, which will be presented later this year, will further contribute to adapting education systems to digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
