The general objective of this partnership is to promote synergies between the priorities and programs of the two partner institutions in the youth field, in particular the European Youth Strategy , Council of Europe Youth Strategy 2030. This collaboration provides a platform for cooperation, acting as a think tank and laboratory: acquiring and producing knowledge, translating it for effective use in youth policy and practice, as well as developing and testing new approaches, taking into account both traditional and what innovative trends.

The collaboration is based on three main lines of action which overall aim to promote the participation and inclusion of young people. For each line of action, the Partnership produces documents, studies, information and training material useful for strengthening the youth sector in Europe:

  • Youth policies: Informing youth policies by providing relevant knowledge and developing the capacities of youth policy actors
  • Research on young people: develop knowledge about young people to better understand current and future challenges and trends in young people's lives and their implications for policies and work with young people
  • I work with young people: promote and strengthen youth work and the recognition of its contribution to the democratic participation and social inclusion of young people.

Particularly significant and in harmony with the work carried out by the European Youth Foundation is the work carried out in the field of training and availability of resources for youth organizations.
