The Associazione InformaGiovani, coordinating body of a European network of youth organizations dealing with volunteering and international mobility, non-formal education and youth information, is selecting staff for the development and expansion of its activities.
Objective of the selection, requirements and tasks of the staff
The selection has the objective of identifying new staff figures who support the current group of workers and volunteers in the management of the association's activities, and is aimed at those who have an interest in building a medium-long term personal and professional path in the sector of youth and voluntary organizations and in non-formal education.
Although each one has specific tasks, all staff are required to have the necessary availability and flexibility within an associative context engaged in various projects, typical of non-profit organisations.
The requirements for all staff are:
- At least B2 level of English proficiency (no certification required)
- Experience in using office applications, in particular and at least Word and Excel or equivalent. Experience in using Power Point or equivalent is appreciated
- Basic skills in using social networks
- Driving license B with willingness to drive the association's vehicles.
- Previous work experience or voluntary work in the field of associations is not compulsory but is positively evaluated.
- Since the association carries out its activities mainly with community funds from the Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps and CERV, previous experience of participation and/or active involvement in these activities will be positively evaluated.
The duties of all the staff include, with the need to work both in Italian and in English:
- Relations with partners and participants in projects
- Youth information activities:
– with digital tools (creation of texts for blogs and newsletters)
– with non-formal face-to-face activities (organization of thematic workshops, use of non-formal techniques such as games, simulations, etc..
– with counter activities, at the Association's office or other points intended for this purpose - Logistical support for the organization of international mobility and volunteering projects (support for participants in the preparation, purchase of tickets, organization of spaces, assembly and disassembly of equipment, etc.)
- Support for reporting on national and EU projects (writing of activity reports, collection and organization of accounting documentation, uploading data to forms, verifying travel documents, etc.).
Location, working hours and salary
The place of work will be in Palermo. Willingness to travel for medium-short periods (max 2 weeks) is required, where necessary to carry out tasks in projects in Italy and abroad.
Working hours are 40 hours a week over 5 days, although maximum flexibility in terms of hours and days is required, depending on the various activities to be carried out and projects in progress, with possible compensatory days.
The national collective agreement of the Third Sector, Sport and other non-profit organizations will be applied.
Those who successfully pass the selection will be hired, at the end of a 90-day paid trial period, with full-time, fixed-term contract of 12 monthspossibly renewable or convertible into a permanent contract.
The gross monthly salary, with classification in the category of employee/expert/information expert for young people, level D1, will be equal to Euro 1.265,60 for 13 monthly salaries.

In addition to any benefits provided for by current legislation, personnel will be offered the opportunity to take part, free of charge, in national/international training activities aimed at strengthening useful skills within the Association.
