The fourth edition of the Ingenio Award for the best degree thesis written by recent engineering graduates. The  National Council of Engineers, together with the Cesop HR Consulting Company, with the organization of the initiative aims to enhance women in the technical field and to offer them a valid opportunity to enter the world of work with the same opportunities and the same economic remuneration as their male colleagues. It is also a concrete institutional response to one of the objectives set by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, Objective 5, that is, achieving gender equality and emancipating all women and girls.

The theme identified for this year is 'The 5.0 paradigm and the strategic role of engineering'. The 5.0 paradigm of economic development, which underpins the European Commission's report, is based on the awareness that an approach oriented exclusively towards profit is no longer sustainable.

The call is open to female engineers of Italian citizenship who have defended a thesis at any Italian university to obtain a three-year, master's or single-cycle degree in Engineering. The authors of the best works will be awarded a one-off sum of 1.500 euros. The prizes are intended for:
