There is time until 4 September 2023 to submit the request relating to scholarships for holders of international protection (with refugee statusə or beneficiariesə of subsidiary protection) obtained by 26 August 2023. The notice was developed by the Ministry of the Interior, in concert with the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities (CRUI) and in collaboration with the National Association of Law Bodies at University Studies (ANDISU).

To enroll in the first year of bachelor's and single-cycle master's degrees, an on-site declaration of value is required, i.e. the Cimea certificate on the high school diploma. To access the master's degree and the research doctorate, only the certificate of the Cimea issued free of charge to holders of international protection. Universities will also be able to accept the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees, as a certificate proving the candidate's qualifications.ə, or arrange for registration independently.

The intervention will allow 100 students to access bachelor's, master's degree and research doctorate courses at Italian universities. The Ministry assigns a flat rate quota equal to the minimum amount established annually by the MUR for scholarships to off-site students, for 2023 of the amount of 6.656,52 euros, to be increased by 15% upon presentation of a lower ISEE or equal to 13.153,12 euros.
