Part of the XXI edition (2025) of the New York Prize, an artistic residency program reserved for emerging Italian artists promoted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), il Ministry of Culture (MiC) - Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity, the Italian Cultural Institute in New York and the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America at Columbia University.

The selected candidates will spend five months in New York (from February 1st to June 30th, 2026) to develop their artistic practice in contact with the American cultural and artistic environment. The program includes participation in cultural activities, the opportunity to attend lectures at Columbia University, and the organization of a final exhibition in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Specifically:

  • monthly allowance of $4.928 for room and board.
  • Artist's studio at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA) or other equivalent institution.
  • Economy class return flight ticket from Italy to New York.
  • Health and accident insurance coverage.
  • Residence visa support.

Applicants must be Italian citizens and residents in Italy; born after December 31, 1990; have at least one solo exhibition under their belt and possess excellent knowledge of the English language.
