Mental health is at the center, from the historic Basaglia law of 1978 - which redefines the concept of mental illness and puts the person in the foreground - to rights, to the collective theme. L'Il Bandolo Association launches the third edition of notice POINTS OF OVERVIEW, film competition for short films and documentaries on the topic.
The Association aims to spread a culture of shared community responsibility towards mental health and psychosocial well-being. The idea is to promote a collective effort to allow everyone to realize themselves based on their own abilities, face everyday life, work productively and contribute to their community.
The short films and short docuvideos collected tell about existing imaginaries, perceptions, patterns and stereotypes. They must have the following requirements;
- duration no longer than 20 minutes;
- have been developed after 01/01/2020;
- in Italian or with Italian subtitles;
- in case of selection, the file in DCP format must necessarily be provided.
The competition includes 2 sections: SGUARDI, open to short films made by young videomakers under 35 on the topic of mental health; EXPERIENCES section is for short films made by Mental Health Centres, Day Centres, Associations, Cooperatives that tell the story of everyday life, experiences and projects.
Up for grabs for the LOOKS section: 800 euros for the First Prize, 500 for the second, 300 for the public prize. For the EXPERIENCES section: 800 for the first prize, 500 for the second prize, 300 for the public prize.
