Mental health at the centre. On the initiative of Rome capital city, organized by Mental Health Department of ASL Rome 1 in collaboration with the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts, the 14th edition of 'Lo Spiraglio FilmFestival' of mental health. An initiative that aims to break taboos on the topic and to prevent and promote mental health through stories in images: the idea is to be based on the healthy virtuality of all human beings.
Participation is free, all video makers aged 18 or over can register. Centers that work on mental health problems will also be able to take part in the contest. There is a section for short films (up to 30') and one for feature films (over 30').
All narrative genres are allowed (fiction, documentary, animation), provided that the topic of mental health in all its forms is central. Awards will be given for:
- Lo Spiraglio Award: for a particularly significant character in the cinematographic world;
- Fausto Antonucci Prize of 1.000 euros for the best short film;
- “Jorge Garcia Badaracco – Maria Elisa Miter Foundation” prize of 1.000 euros for the best feature film;
- Luciano De Feo Award of 1.000 euros to the film that has shown the most attention to scientific content;
- “SAMIFO” AWARD special prize of 1000 euros from a jury, made up of 3 experts indicated by SAMIFO – ASL Roma 1 who will select the film that best portrays/expresses/depicts aspects linked to transculturality and the apparent contradiction that lies in the union of the terms diversity and equality that human beings encompass.
