Il photographic competition “Resilient by nature” invite immortalising how nature underpins Europe's resilience, how natural systems are organised and support our societies, how climatic and human pressures alter this harmony and how people are finding ways to restore and strengthen the systems we all depend on.

How to participate:

Choose your best shots (up to 5) and submit them in one or more categories. Headshots, bird's-eye views, or eye-level shots are also welcome.

• Armonia
• Upheaval
• Renovation

Eligibility criteria:

The competition is open to citizens of the 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey; and to citizens of North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the Stabilization and Association Agreements.

• All participants must have at least 18 years.
• Photos must have been taken in the countries mentioned above.
• You can send a maximum 5 photos in the contestEach photo will be processed separately, so you will need to fill out a new submission form for each photo.

 

Selection: An AEA committee will select the finalists, who will then be evaluated by an independent jury. The Public Choice Award will be voted on online from September 14 to 27, 2026. Winners will be announced on October 9, 2026.

Awards:

• Best photo (3 categories): €1000 each
• Audience Award: €500
• Youth Prize (18-24 years): €500
