There are 15 researchers who will be able to take advantage of scholarships worth up to 30 thousand euros per year of the Canon Foundation. The program is aimed at graduates in a variety of disciplines, not only related to science or technology. Study visits in Japan will last between a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 months.
Scholarships can be requested by those who meet the following requirements:
- European citizenship (citizens of the United Kingdom, Israel, Turkey and the Balkan and Baltic countries are also admitted);
- possession of a Master's degree or a PhD, obtained within the last 10 years.
The financial coverage can reach up to 30.000 euros per year and you can choose what to use the available amounts for, using them, for example, to cover daily and travel expenses and/or insurance, research costs, books and more.
Scholarship recipients from Europe are free to choose their host institutions in Japan. Research grants can be applied for upon cooperation agreement and submission of a research plan between the researcher and the proposed host institution.
