With the company Berlin Prize, the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, together with the General Directorate for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin, offers two young emerging architects the opportunity to spend six months (January – June 2025) in Berlin. The winners will be able to work in high-profile professional studios in Berlin and participate in the activities of the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin and ANCB - The AEDES Metropolitan Laboratory. The objective is to promote contemporary Italian architecture through the mobility and internationalization of professionals by participating in a qualified educational and professional experience and to delve deeper into issues relating to reuse and urban regeneration.

In addition to the return flight ticket, the two selected candidates will be able to count on the availability of accommodation for the entire duration of the residency, a monthly contribution of 1800 euros for living expenses and supervision for participation to the activities at the specialized architecture firm. Insurance coverage for injuries and accidents is also provided.

To apply, the following requirements are required:

  • be Italian citizens and residents in Italy;
  • be born after December 31, 1989;
  • be an architect registered in the relevant register;
  • carry out planning and research activities in the specific sector of urban reuse and regeneration;
  • have a good knowledge of the English language.
