Urban reuse and regeneration are the central themes of the Berlin Award, organized by the Ministry of Culture (MIC) - Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) - Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin. For the fourth edition, the young Italian architects who won the Prize will be able to stay for six months in Berlin, from January to June, and will be able to take part in the cultural activities organized by the IIC Berlin and by ANCB – The Aedes Metropolitan Laboratory. They can also count on the presence of a tutor with international experience.
To participate in the initiative, you must meet the following requirements:
- be Italian citizens and resident in Italy;
- be born after December 31, 1988;
- be architects registered in the professional order and carry out proven planning and research activities in the specific sector of urban reuse and regeneration;
- have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of the German language is important
The scholarships provide for a monthly salary of 1.800€ for food and reimbursement of expenses for the activities carried out; availability of accommodation; transfer costs from Italy; insurance coverage.
