Guaranteeing European citizens the right to stay and build a future in their own country, without being forced to migrate due to economic decline: this is the objective of “Right to Stay”, the new EU flagship strategy.

The launch event brings together European institutions and key leaders, including Vice President Fitto, Roberta Metsola and Enrico Letta, whose report Much More than a Market denounces the regional gaps that are pushing young people to leave.

The initiative aims to strengthen cohesion and competitiveness through investments in services, connectivity, and education. “Leaving must be a free choice, never a necessity”, Fitto reiterated.
