The 21th edition of the Tapirulan Illustrators Contest, organized by the homonymous Cultural Association based in Cremona. For this year: Flop! is the theme of the initiative, which aims to give space to any creative and expressive technique in the creation of illustrations. Probably of onomatopoeic origin, the term flop indicates a fall, a slump, a sudden collapse, and, figuratively, a colossal failure. If FLOP is the theme of the contest, the organizers hope that success awaits all participants.

Italian artists can registerə and foreigners, with no age limit. Each participant may submit only one unpublished work (i.e., not published in books or catalogs) and not awarded in other competitions. Having published the image online or on social media does not preclude participation.

The following prizes will be awarded to the best authors: Critics Award€3 – The winner will be invited to hold a solo exhibition at Spazio Tapirulan during the next edition of the competition, with publication of a personal catalog. The winning work will also be published in the Annual of the Autori di Immagini Association. People's Award: prize for the most voted by tapirulan.it users: 500 euros. The 52 selected authors will receive a free copy of the catalog. Humor Award: awarded to the funniest illustration, which will be given a page in the Image Authors Annual.
