The program Citizens, equality, rights and values, CERV, publishes the call for proposals on European remembrance. The objective is to relate European history to the challenges that arise today for our democracies, putting some fundamental values ​​and principles at the center: the rule of law, fundamental rights, integration, multiculturalism.

The projects will focus on raising European citizens' awareness of their common history, culture and values, as well as improving understanding of the Union, its origins and the importance of mutual tolerance. There are 4 priorities identified:

  • Democratic transition, (re)building and strengthening society based on the rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights.
  • Strengthen the memory of the Holocaust, genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, to strengthen democracy in the EU.
  • Migration, de-colonization and multicultural European societies.
  • European integration and its fundamental results.

Non-profit bodies, local, regional and national administrations, universities and commemorative and learning sites with educational institutions can participate in a transnational dimension and will develop training activities, publications, online tools, research, non-formal education, public debates, exhibitions, awareness-raising , collection and digitization of testimonies, innovative and creative actions.
