Participation in volunteer camps has different rules, based on some parameters linked above all to the period and country of destination.

It should be noted that some organizations are more strict with these parameters, while others are less so.
This rigidity must be understood as compliance with rules that are designed to protect the volunteers and the organizations that have to host them.
Failure to comply with these rules (linked above all to the motivation and preparation of the volunteers), in some fields, can prove to be, if not downright dangerous, certainly harmful to the peace of mind of the projects and of the volunteers themselves.

Below we therefore report the "general" rules normally applied by all sending organisations, but you will then need to consult the respective sites to be sure of the rules applied by each specific association.

For the fields of InformaGiovani the rules are as follows:

• have the minimum age required for the chosen camp (usually 18 years for abroad and 16 for Italy, but there are camps for minors abroad also - select your age in the search database)
• be a member of the association (the card costs 30 euros and lasts for one year)
• pay the required additional fee (the amount of which varies from 0 to 100 euros, based on the ISEE)
• For camps in Latin America, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, you must demonstrate previous international volunteering and/or social volunteering experience that demonstrates readiness for the experience. A motivation letter is required together with the application form.

To subscribe to our fields, just follow this simple procedure:

• the first thing to do is consult our online database and choose which fields you want to participate in, selecting the code (indicated by some letters and numbers before the name)
• you will then have to fill in the application form (the "application form") in English or in the language of the chosen fields. If you already know the codes of the fields you want to participate in, you can go directly to completing the application.
• then you will have to proceed with the payment of the registration fee and the field fee (see here the instructions to make the payment)
• send by email (if necessary) any additional documents requested (for example a specific motivation letter or copy of the passport)
• at this point your application will be complete and our office will send it to the host organisations

WARNING: For the fields “last minute“, constant contact must be maintained with our offices. Furthermore, the payment is made twice. The payment of 30 euros (association membership fee) must be made immediately and only after acceptance to the camp and our confirmation must it be made the payment of the supplementary fee.
