With InformaGiovani Every year there are around 150 camps in which the participation of minor volunteers is possible.

In some cases they are ALSO camps for underage boys and girls. Many are intended ONLY for minors.

Obviously the working conditions, the logistics and the calendar of activities are organized in such a way as to be adapted to the needs and possibilities of the youngest. However, there is always a part of the time dedicated to work for and with the local community.

In any case, it is advisable to always read the description of the project in our database very scrupulously.
From a formal point of view, for underage volunteers it is required that the application form be signed by a parent or guardian and that after acceptance a specific authorization form is sent, with a copy of the identity document. .

As far as costs are concerned, InformaGiovani it does not require any additional expenses for minor volunteers, but very often there are costs TO BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE CAMP linked to logistical conditions, the presence of specialized personnel or other needs.

When you read the information on the projects, check carefully if there are local costs (the so-called extra-fees).

The recognition of a field as PCTO (formerly school-work alternation) depends on each educational institution.
In the last two years, almost all the volunteers who requested recognition from the school have obtained it.

The procedures depend on each school, which has different forms.

We therefore recommend contacting the class or institute contact person to find out what type of information and documentation they require, possibly providing the school with our email address camps@informa-giovani.net for all needs.

Since each camp responds to the needs of a project or a local community, there is no standard duration that is the same for all projects. Generally, the minimum duration is 10 days and the maximum is three weeks.

The duration is always clearly indicated in the sheet of each field, so that you can carefully choose your preferred project, also based on your availability.

In some cases, the projects are “permanent,” meaning that the volunteer can choose when to go and how long to participate in the activities. This is especially true in some community projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
