HeSoESC

The “Healthy social volunteering” project: ESC for active lifestyles, citizenship and social fairness (HeSoESC)” aims to promote group volunteering of the European Solidarity Corps, to encourage active and healthy lifestyles and to support socially vulnerable subjects and fragile groups with solidarity initiatives.

The project involves 5 beneficiaries and 2 associated partners from Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and France.

The project foresees the realization of 12 activities which will involve 138 volunteers (57 coming from disadvantaged contexts). These will be aimed at providing support to some particularly fragile target groups (homeless, children with immunodeficiency or cancer, refugees and migrants) whose living conditions have worsened as an indirect consequence of the pandemic and the contagion containment measures. In particular, over the course of two years, initiatives will be implemented to support the protection system for the homeless in the cities of Palermo, Turin and Bologna.

The activities will be accompanied by an information and awareness initiative on blood donation.
