*Approaching deadline* Write an essay to share your ideas with the United Nations!

Many Languages, One World Global Youth Forum offers an incredible opportunity to make yourself heard in the General Assembly of the United Nations. The delegates of the forum will participate in creating action plans related to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Northeastern University and present their ideas at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The trip between 15-26 July to Boston and New York City will be covered by ELS Educational Services, Inc.

The 60 lucky delegates are chosen through the Many Languages, One World essay contest. So if you feel like the forum is something you would like to be a part of, write an essay and have the chance to win!

Requirements for the essay:

• 2000 words or fewer
• Must discuss global citizenship and cultural understanding, and the role that multilingual ability can play in fostering these
• Must  reflect your personal, academic, cultural and national context
• Written in one of the official languages of the UN (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish). The language used cannot be your mother tongue nor a language that has been a  medium in either your primary or secondary education.

Requirements for the candidate:

• At least 18 years old
• Full-time university student
• Endorsed by a faculty member or university representative
