![]() The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is an advisory body of the European Union which gives regions and cities a formal say in order to ensure that the position and needs of the regional and local authorites are taken into account in EU law-making. Every year, the Committee of the Regions offers the possibility to participate in an internship or a short-term study visit for young university graduates. Traineeship The internship is 5 months long and takes place twice a year: the spring traineeship runs from 16 February until 15 July and the autumn traineeship runs from 16 September until 15 February. Requirements for the applicants: · a university degree that has been acquired before the deadline for the application · have an excellent level of an official Community language and an adequate level of one other official EU-working language (English or French) This is a paid traineeship. Deadlines: - For autumn traineeships (16 September - 15 February): 31st of March - For spring traineeships (16 February - 15 July): 30th of September Applications are solely accepted via Internet. For more information on the traineeship and the application form, click on CoR Short-term study visit The maximum duration of the short-term study visit is 4 months but may be extended up to 6 months. Short-term study visits are not paid traineeships. Requirements for the applicants: · Bachelor’s degree · exhibit a keen interest on the work of the Committee of Regions for reasons related to professional, academic or research activities Deadline For the short-term study visit there is no fixed deadline but applications should be sent by post to the Traineeship Office.
