The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is an advisory body of the European Union which gives regions and cities a formal say in order to ensure that the position and needs of the regional and local authorites are taken into account in EU law-making. Every year, the Committee of the Regions offers the possibility to participate in an internship or a short-term study visit for young university graduates.

Traineeship
The internship is 5 months long and takes place twice a year: the spring traineeship runs from 16 February until 15 July and the autumn traineeship runs from 16 September until 15 February.

Requirements for the applicants:
· a university degree that has been acquired before the deadline for the application
· have an excellent level of an official Community language and an adequate level of one other official EU-working language (English or French)

This is a paid traineeship.

Deadlines:
- For autumn traineeships (16 September - 15 February): 31st of March
- For spring traineeships (16 February - 15 July): 30th of September

Applications are solely accepted via Internet.

For more information on the traineeship and the application form, click on CoR

Short-term study visit
The maximum duration of the short-term study visit is 4 months but may be extended up to 6 months.
Short-term study visits are not paid traineeships.

Requirements for the applicants:
· Bachelor’s degree
· exhibit a keen interest on the work of the Committee of Regions for reasons related to professional,
academic or research activities

Deadline
For the short-term study visit there is no fixed deadline but applications should be sent by post to the Traineeship Office.
