Cultural heritage, technological innovation and sustainable development: the new call dedicated to Cultural Heritage Innovation Grants, An initiative co-financed by the European Union under the SMP programme (sPM-COSME-2024-CLUSTER call), with a total budget of €1.970.000, aims to support projects capable of promoting advanced solutions for the protection, enhancement, and enjoyment of cultural heritage.

Promoting the experimentation of innovative tools and models that can improve the conservation, accessibility and management of cultural heritage can have significant positive consequences for the social and economic fabric, especially in Sicilia - the Region of the world with the highest number of UNESCO tangible and intangible heritage sites and assets.

Projects may include the development of digital technologies for archiving and immersive use, the use of tools based on artificial intelligence and augmented reality, the promotion of sustainable management models for cultural sites, and the creation of new forms of public interaction and participation.

Proposals may integrate multidisciplinary skills and foster partnerships between cultural institutions, research centers, creative businesses, and innovative startups. They must follow paths that include: developing new products or services for the company and adopting innovative business processes within the company.

Eligible to participate are cultural organizations, public and private institutions, universities, research centers, businesses, and third sector entities active in the fields of cultural heritage and innovation.
