Premise

The following Child Protection Policy of InformaGiovani was approved with unanimous consent by the Board of Directors on 20 November 2023, testifying to the association's commitment to offering a safe and stimulating environment for all minors who take part in the activities or with whom, in any way and to whatever title, the Association comes into contact with.

By adopting this policy, InformaGiovani underlines its dedication not only to the safety of minors but also to their personal growth and development through enriching and formative experiences of non-formal education, volunteering and mobility, both national and international. Ensuring the protection of minors and promoting their psychological and physical well-being in any context, including digital ones, remains at the heart of our mission.

  • Introduction
    1. The association InformaGiovani is dedicated to promoting volunteering opportunities, national and international mobility for young people and minors.
      Aware of the fundamental importance of guaranteeing a safe and supportive environment, we are committed to protecting the rights and well-being of all minors involved in our activities as well as, in general, of all boys and girls, young people and the girls.
    2. This child and adolescent protection policy reflects our commitment to operate in full compliance with the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the Constitution and Italian laws, as well as actively promoting the psychological and physical well-being of minors also in digital environments.
  • Purpose
    This Policy establishes the rules and procedures for the protection and promotion of the well-being of minors, to be scrupulously observed by all staff. InformaGiovani, by the volunteers and by the interns, in all volunteering activities, national and international mobility, formal, informal and non-formal education, as well as in those of information and awareness promoted by the Association or in which it is involved in any capacity.
  • Guiding Principles
    1. Health and Wellbeing: in addition to the best interests of the child, InformaGiovani places particular emphasis on promoting the health, psychological and physical well-being of minors, recognizing the importance of a holistic approach to their protection.
    2. Positive Environment: we are committed to creating and maintaining an environment that supports the personal and social development of minors, encouraging their active participation in a context of safety and respect.
    3. Prevention by default: the commitment to protecting the well-being of minors in all its forms must constitute the basis around which every activity of the Association is built, providing for forms of prevention in every phase of these activities, from the moment of their conception, and providing adequate management measures for any risks or situations that could in any way constitute a source of danger, stress or harm to the young participants or beneficiaries.
