VEIL CORPS

The project “Volunteering experiences for inclusive learning: community relief, protection, sustainability – VEIL-CORPS” aims to promote, organize and implement volunteering activities to create quality learning experiences.

These volunteering activities aim to make a real difference in the work of youth centres and communities, carrying out activities in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain, where there are young people who are socially or economically disadvantaged. They will also help local communities recover and become more resilient in the face of climate change-related risks, such as fires, floods and landslides.

The activities will take place over 24 months during which 20 different activities will be organized, involving a total of 206 volunteers. Among them, at least 70 will be young people with fewer opportunities and special needs.

The project is organized by a consortium of 13 partner associations from 8 countries (Germany, Estonia, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Ukraine), and two Italian institutions that will provide support: a juvenile justice office and a nature reserve.

At the end of the project, a booklet will be written that will collect the experiences of the participants and coordinators. This booklet will also offer information, ideas and suggestions for organizing effective group volunteering experiences.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Solidarity Corps Programme. If you want to know the programme, Check out our Guide to European Programmes.
