Matiussi Ecology, under the patronage of Adi (Association for Industrial Design), lancia CREATable RESOURCES CONTEST – NEXT40 edition. A challenge that focuses on the next 40 years of separate waste collection in a perspective of a circular economy of resources and an increase in the quantity and quality of materials intended for recycling - in Europe, only 50% of urban waste is recycled (source: 2021 , Eurostat).

Every gesture can contribute to achieving the circularity objective. The aim of the competition is in fact the design of a new product for everyday domestic life, which combines design, sustainability and digital technology. The developed project must have such an appeal that it can find space in any home environment, overcoming problems of space and management of volumes and bad odors and will be sustainable at 360 degrees.

Participation is open to young designers under 35 without any limitations. Participation can take place individually or in groups. You will need to send:

• a brief description of the project, no longer than 3000 characters on a vertical A4 sheet in PDF format, containing, without images, the concept, product characteristics and planned materials;
• a horizontal ISO-A3 table in pdf with at least mock-up of the product, construction, materials and rendering, as well as the personal code in the upper right corner of the table.

The following are expected cash prizes: first place: 2.500 euros; second place: 1.500 euros; third place: 1.000 euros. The deadline for submitting projects is 31 May 2024. Click here to view the competition notice.
