The fifth edition of the European Award for Innovative Teaching, EITAThis year's Recognition includes Adult Education and the European Language Label, focusing on the strategic priority of the European Education Area and strengthening skills and motivation in the teaching profession. It also recognizes the contribution of the Erasmus+ program to the European Education Area and the importance of cooperation and networking between schools across Europe.

The initiative is promoted in Italy by the two Erasmus+ National Agencies, INDIRE and INAPP. The EITA recognition will be awarded to completed Erasmus+ projects implemented under Key Action 1 and Key Action 2, selected by the Erasmus+ National Agencies on an annual basis.

While the award will have symbolic value, projects awarded with the EITA will be promoted at the European and national levels as examples of good practices in innovation in education. They will also be featured on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.

Five prizes will be awarded for each Erasmus+ programme country, one for each of the following categories:

  • early childhood education and care.
  • school education (primary and secondary with general curricula)
  • adult education.
  • education and vocational training.
  • European Language Label.

It is not necessary to submit applications to participate in the EITA 2025 selection process. The Erasmus+ INDIRE and INAPP agencies will evaluate the projects based on the documentation and information already in their possession. Click here to learn more
