The Erasmus+ Program includes three different "Key Actions" that respond to three different objectives. In each of these actions it is the role of bodies and organizations is always central who carry out the individual activities.

  1. The Key Action 1 it is one that aims at the educational mobility of individuals, be they young people or adults with different roles
  2. The Key Action 2 instead it is aimed at strengthening and innovating organizations and developing networks
  3. Key Action 3: support for the definition of sector policies and cooperation

The Key Action 1
At the center of the programs implemented in this Action are therefore the needs of individuals, based on the different contexts in which they operate.
Obviously, however, the organizations involved in each project are also indirect beneficiaries of the projects. For example, in fact, if a teacher or youth worker participates in a mobility project, acquiring new skills and gaining new experiences, this will also have a positive impact on the sending institutions, within which those skills and experiences will be put into practice.

The Key Action 2
Also in this case, clearly, the activities will involve people who will have a direct benefit, but the starting perspective is that of a structural and system improvement aimed at the organizations, whose needs are therefore at the center of attention.

Key Action 3: support for the definition of sector policies and cooperation

This action provides support for political cooperation at European Union level and between the Commission and different civil society actors, contributing to the implementation of existing policies and the development of new policies capable of “triggering” modernization and reforms, in the fields of education, training, youth and sport.
In particular, its intent is to increase the participation of young people in democratic lifeca, especially in discussions with policy makers.
Action 3 also supports the development of networks and European youth organizations that coordinate, even informally, networks of other associations.
