Join the European Union Youth Orchestra, the EUYOApplications are now open for players on the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute (piccolo – optional), oboe (English horn – optional), clarinet (Eb clarinet – optional), bassoon (contrabassoon – optional), horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, harp, and keyboards.

Anyone between the ages of 16 and 26 as of December 31, 2025, who was born, resides, or has studied music in one of the 27 countries of the European Union is eligible to apply. Successful candidates will be part of the Orchestra for a full year of concert activity, both within the European Union and on tour across continents.

In Italy, RAI organizes the selections, which take place in two phases: in the first round, the performances submitted via video by the candidates will be evaluated, and the results will be announced by October; in the second round, the final auditions will take place in Rome at the Radio Headquarters on a date to be specified, between November and December 2025.
