The public notice from Irfis for the granting of Honorary Loans to students enrolled in degree programs at Sicilian universities has been published on the Sicilian Region's website. This initiative aims to support the right to university education by providing interest-free loans of up to €10, with a ten-year term, no financial or personal guarantees, and a generous grace period (up to a maximum of five years).
To access the benefit, students must be enrolled in the first year at a university, college, or higher education institution awarding corresponding academic qualifications, located in the Sicilian Region. Alternatively, for subsequent years, they must have earned at least half of the credits required for each academic year. Furthermore, the current ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) must be less than €20 at the date of application.
