Eurodesk, the European network of the Erasmus+ Program dedicated to information for young people, has published the digital guide to inclusive communication for youth information services.

The guide, currently available in English, serves to support all those working with and for young people in creating information in a more accessible and inclusive way.

The Guide proposes 7 key principles to make youth information services more inclusive.

By following these principles, you will be able to:

  1. create and follow an inclusive information and communication strategy
  2. understand your audience and be aware of communication barriers
  3. focus on the content of the communication
  4. make content more accessible
  5. be inclusive with appropriate language
  6. use different channels to reach a wider audience
  7. continue to monitor and adapt to your audience!

The principles aim to support a process of reflection. Concrete measures and examples are shared to inspire new practices and build a culture of belonging in youth information services.

The guide is based on the best practices carried out by associations that are committed to a more inclusive world and concrete measures and examples are shared also aimed at inspiring new strategies within the world of youth information.
